This idea of a Muslim, who is most probably educated in the West and who is raised believing in democracy, who gets involved in politics and becomes a national figure, then decides to compete within the contours of the system in order to run the country in the hope of bringing real political changes and restoring Islam even partially, this has become already a political phenomenon or a path trodden by many. Mohamed Morsi of Egypt and now Imran Khan are a typical example of this phenomenon.

Therefore, it is worth of looking into it and identifying its pros and cons. Given the fact that Imran Khan was arrested today during a court appearance while Mohamed Morsi died during his political detention, this only makes the topic relevant. After all, is the political model set by Mohamed Morsi and Imran Khan the right one in order to bring an economic development under the banner of Islam?

To begin with, I wish Imran Khan all the best from the bottom of my heart. Whoever declares that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His messenger, he or she is part of the Muslim Ummah, which constitutes a single body – if a limb hurts, the whole body hurts, as described by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), so I wish him an immediate release.

Hypothetically, if a Muslim decides to run for prime minister or president in a Muslim majority country, such as in Egypt or Pakistan, and in case he wins the election, he cannot and will not succeed unless undertakes two or three important steps:

On the first day as prime minister or president, he should form a task force, which consists of honest and courageous men whose role is to clear the corridors of power and pave the way for real independence.

On the second day of his job, the prime minister or the president should order the task force to arrest all the current judges, on charges of being part of a judicial system which has been established by the British Empire. There is no doubt that judges are the most controlled people, so they should be arrested on the basis of being CIA agents and tried by a special tribunal. The whole judicial system should be replaced with a new one.

On the third day of his job, he should order the arrest of all military generals and top military officers on the basis of distrust and treason. In all countries that have been formed by the British Empire, the military generals are the most loyal people to the Empire and the US Government. Only with a new military and a brand new judicial system, is it possible to bring changes.

This is hypothetical and can never happen. This is just another way of saying that Pakistan and Egypt and all other Muslim countries are occupied by the British Empire and the US Government.

In that case, the question is: is it possible running for prime minister within the contours of the occupation?

Due to his patriotic and pro religious role, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan seems to have a lot of support as well as there are many Muslims around the world who seem to appreciate his political ambition to build a better Pakistan.

There is no doubt that Pakistan – as a Muslim country, is in our hearts and we all wish the best for our Pakistani Muslim brothers and sisters, among whom there are great scholars and religious activists who contribute a great deal to the entire Ummah.

However, the political system, which has been established by the British Empire, cannot be changed or reformed by using the political tools and mechanisms that the Evil Empire has made available for us. For example, political parties are British invented political tools which have been founded around the world to serve the empire, not people. For this reason, there are laws and legal mechanisms which restrict the political activity of a political party should it try to attempt independence and real political reform.

In this regard, the political struggle of Imran Khan, in my view, will not lead to any political product or change. The power cannot be changed by votes and by respecting the British corrupt laws.

As a Muslim, Imran Khan does not need to borrow models from the British Empire in order to reform Pakistan. The religion of Islam provides us with all the necessary models and knowledge with regard to politics and social reforms. Political parties are not something which Islam recommends, nor the corrupt and theatrical system of voting.

There are things far better and much more beneficial for Pakistan and for the Muslim Ummah that Imran Khan can do.

Imran Khan can start an independent media – TV, online and hardcopy newspaper, YouTube channel, publishing papers and books, where he can expose the British corruption and the British control of Pakistan. The Pakistani people need to be educated about the critical political situation. Pakistani people need genuine ideas of development, not British lies and propaganda.

Imran Khan should use his fame and charisma, as well as his political experience in the service of intellectualism and he should start a new political era in Pakistan and around the Ummah.

We cannot change our horrible condition and we cannot get rid of the British occupation, British control – which controls our economy, finances, politics, education and the military, by voting and political parties, but by independent intellectual activism.

I would absolutely appreciate Imran Khan’s work if he starts a completely independent media which deals with topics related to our Ummah as well as explaining to people the British occupation.

Imran Khan knows all too well that Pakistan and other Muslim countries are under the British occupation. He knows very well that there is no Muslim independent country. So, let him start a media where he can allow independent people spread uncensored ideas.

Imran Khan has become one of the most recognized names of Pakistan. His political party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Pakistan Movement for Justice) indicates the reality that Muslims are facing around the world, that is, oppression and lack of self-governance. That’s why many Islamic political parties and movements incorporate into their names the word ‘justice.’ Indeed, the religion of Islam considers justice as the indispensable condition for human society to exist. In addition, the concept of requiring justice and hating injustice is innate; the religion simply codifies and enjoins it.

In this regard, Imran Khan is trying to establish justice in Pakistan. He seems to represent a great portion of the Pakistani population, and as a Muslim, he even is attempting to convince his people that it is not simply politics what motives him fight for them, but it is Islam which is giving him the duty. However, good intention is not a sufficient condition to guarantee him success. In Islam, different from Secularism, the ends do not justify means.

Therefore, with all due respect for Imran Khan, I don’t believe his political approach is going to lead Pakistan to substantial political changes for the following reasons.

First, political parties are a mechanism which have nothing to do with the religion of Islam, nor are they a universally accepted political mechanism of addressing injustice and brining political changes. This mechanism has been invented by the British Empire to serve none other than itself, not Muslims, or oppressed nations for that matter.

Second, the religion of Islam prohibits categorically the division into groups based on superficial political ideas or any other criteria other than religion itself. On what religious basis can two Muslim Pakistanis join two different political groups?

Third, even if we ignore the religion of Islam and speak from a purely political point of view, the experience shows that political parties cannot bring changes no matter how many followers one has. We’ve seen what happened in Egypt in 2011 when the Freedom and Justice Party won big, yet Mohamed Morsi failed to hold onto power. He was ousted in one year and three days.

We saw that votes mean nothing as long as there is no military and economic power in the hands of the winner. Power is not taken or changed by votes. That’s a British mockery of nations. Power is taken only by war. In case Muslims do not have the capacity for waging war, then they should be patient, improve themselves, seek knowledge and educate themselves and others.

So, Muslims should not follow the British deception of how to approach power. Our religion provides the best instructions and advice on how to deal with power and what to do in case Muslims are oppressed. Political parties, elections, revolutions and divisions are not what Islam recommends. Imran Khan should stick to what Islam teaches if he wants success.
