Apart from food, shelter and care, we need knowledge and training. We don’t start our lives from the Stone Age. We don’t have time to rediscover everything; therefore, we are taught – we are taught what’s good and what’s bad, how to behave and conduct ourselves, we are taught literacy skills and other sciences; in other words, we are taught the ABCs of life – from cooking and cleaning to the most complex professions of life and the most advanced forms of knowledge.

Do we still need divine revelation, then?

Our parents teach us. Society teaches us. There are scientists, philosophers, thinkers, trainers, professors, mentors, and governments have established a formal educational system, part of which is even mandatory, for one purpose only: to teach us and prepare us for living a successful life; well, at least we can assume so.

Nevertheless, the human mechanisms and the established system of passing down knowledge from generation to generation are not flawless as humans themselves are not perfect.

First, those who are in charge of us, such as parents or teachers, not always know the best even if we assume them to have good intention. Their knowledge is always limited and the time to dedicate to us is never enough. So, what we learn from them does not necessary guarantee us success.

Second, the most problematic part is that the same mechanisms and system that are used to teach us to succeed, they can be used to teach us the opposite, how to fail and how to end up doing the wrong things or making the wrong choices. Given the fact that natural resources are limited, human beings are in competition and at war with one another. At the same time, the priority of governments is to control people. So, those whose interest is to prevent us from success and to control us are many, including the government.

Therefore, there is nothing to guarantee a teenager, whose independent life as an adult is about to start, that he or she has been taught the right things or equipped with the right training and knowledge in order to succeed. On the contrary, much of his or her knowledge that he or she has learned could be wrong, a deception, misleading, or part of the ideological warfare of the government.

There is one way, however, to have access to credible knowledge and cleared from human interests and the practical need of governments to control us: that is divine revelation; otherwise, what people teach us could be lies, deception, or harmful.

In agreement with Marx, Islam includes the comforting part of souls. The very nature of this life is a test according to it; therefore, the natural resources are limited while the needs and the greed of people are unlimited. In addition, opportunities, skills, abilities to work and the different levels of access to natural resources lead to economic inequality, amassing of wealth by some and poverty for others.

However, Islam addresses very well not only the redistribution of wealth per se, but also its political and ideological effects, something which Secularism has failed to do.

First, Islam has addressed the problem of savings. Even though money facilitates a great deal the exchange of goods and services, it has one major flaw: by saving it up, it freezes up a part of the economy, similar to a piece of land that no one benefits from it, neither the owner, nor the society. Therefore, the concept of Zakat in Islam deals exactly with this issue: if a person possesses gold or cash of a certain amount and it is not circulated for a full year, in other words, saved for a full lunar year, the owner must pay 2.5% of the savings directly to certain categories of people, as clearly prescribed by the Qur’an, not the government.

Secularism has also addressed the same issue, i.e., the savings, by means of taxes. One of the major roles of a Secularist government is to collect taxes from the rich and redistribute it to the poor either through direct payments or through job creation.

While both Islam and Secularism have not overlooked the issue of wealth redistribution, and there are cases when the latter has done very well, still there is a fundamental difference between them. Islam commands and instructs the rich to do this on a voluntarily manner. So, the rich should pay the money directly to the poor and interact with them. At the same time, Islam strongly encourages the believers in general to pay charity, make donations, loan one another money without interest; it obliges the head of family to take care of his family financially, as well as share food with the society and feed the needy. Islam seeks to give rise to a solid and strong society.

The problem of Secularism is that it has placed too much power on the government: it collects taxes, it plays the role of a father, mother, head of family, donor, money loaner, and sometimes it has even replaced the role of God. Yet, not only has Secularism failed to tax the rich, but also its redistribution of wealth solely through government leads to dictatorship, destruction of family and the fabric of the society.

Therefore, it is a real concern that Muslims have with governments. In my view, there are a couple of reasons why we should not trust any Secularist government.

First, there is a declared war of Secularism against Islam. Secularists are the biggest enemies of Islam and Muslims, so how can we trust them?! They are not even hiding their goals to wipe Islam out.

Second, Secularists, i.e., the British Empire, have failed to deliver their promise. The original argument of the British Secularism has been to introduce to the world a political model that allows all religions live peacefully under the same government. They’ve tried. The result has been a blatant lie. No Secularist government, in the West or in the East, has really provided a genuine political model which allows Muslims live peacefully.

Third, Secularism is heavily dogmatic, full of lies, allegiant to no values or principles, and it lacks consistency. It changes laws in accordance with the political whims and desires of a small corrupt elite. What is considered natural and right today, it might be considered unnatural and wrong tomorrow.

Forth, Secularism respects no natural values; as a result, Muslims are the community that are affected the most by this extremist behavior of Secularists because Islam is the religion of the natural disposition.

In short, Secularist governments have a clear agenda against Islam and Muslims; therefore, it is unwise to trust them as well as it is detrimental to our safety and security. Muslims are not supposed to be gullible. We have seen what Secularists have done to us. We’ve seen what the US Government has done to us, killing women and children and respecting no rule of law. We’ve seen what communist governments have done to us in the name of the British Empire. We’ve seen what Mustafa Kamal did in Turkey and what Enver Hoxha did in Albania.

They haven’t changed. They are the same old criminals and barbarians. They might have changed the color of their suits, but not their agendas against Islam and Muslims. Unfortunately, there are many, many Muslims who cooperate with such criminal governments and want to convince the rest of us to believe them. That’s why we Muslims are in such a weak position because traitors and hypocrites and the stupid ones among us are being used effectively by our enemies – the US Government and all Secularist governments around the world.

Muslims should obey their laws and behave in accordance with the teaching of Islam, be kind to all humans, but never, ever trust Secularist governments.

Muslims, on the other hand, in the West and in the East, famous or not, preachers or seemingly scholars, try to justify this British lie with religious evidence. “Islam calls to pure monotheism,” they argue; or “we don’t deal with politics,” “mind your own business,” “religion has nothing to do with politics,” and things like this.

Indeed, the main objective of Islam is to call humanity to the worship of one god alone, the Creator or the God, and submit to His will in order to be successful in this life and in the hereafter. This is the message of all prophets. However, this message is addressed to people – to you and me. In this regard, people need to live, they need property, jobs, freedom, family, land, business transactions; in short, people need access to natural resources in order to live. Without access to natural resources, what kind of religion are we talking about?

Therefore, people need religion to organize their lives, but they need economy, too. Ideology, economy, politics and religion are not separable. That’s a British deception. They’ve told us: “let me control the money and the economy, you keep your religion, if possible keep it inside your homes.” Bravo! They are absolutely smart; we Muslims are stupid and ignorant that a bunch of pagans have deceived us.

Today Muslims have no power, no economy, no military, no legal protection, no intrinsic access to natural resources. All such powers are held by the British appointed Secularist governments and their spies. They control money and jobs.

We Muslims today have to beg western terrorists to survive, to live, if they are merciful enough to allow us. Our children are hostages of their terrorist judges. Our families fall under the domain of the British Secularism. And they tell us: religion is allowed in the West, “Eid Mubarak,” they even say to us.

Worshipping God cannot be achieved without economy and power. They go hand in hand. We should teach our children and the community that without economy, family, money, power, and even military, we are on the verge of total annihilation at the hands of pagans and liars. We don’t need their “Eid Mubarak;” we need access to the economy, which is used by them as a weapon to force us abandon our religion. This is the bitter truth.

Economy is a weapon.

If you want to become a scholar of the religion of Islam, you’ve chosen an almost impossible path, much more difficult than the above mentioned careers. By its very nature, becoming a Muslim scholar requires much effort, ambition, determination and conviction. It has never been easy; however, under the British Secularism it is near impossible. It is not a domain that the British Empire has overlooked. Quite the contrary, Secularists consider the Islamic knowledge as the greatest threat to their unjust, oppressive, and exploitive political system.

From its very beginning, the rise of the British Empire has had one major obstacle to its agenda to control the world in the most absolute sense, and that obstacle has been and is Islam. Even though the British Empire rules the world, still Islam remains a threat to the Secularist tyranny.

Therefore, the project of the British Empire to wipe Islam out is not a secret at all. The fact that the majority of the wars over the last century have been waged against Muslims, that fact that the Muslim world is split into some sixty countries, the fact that Muslims have been vilified and stigmatized constantly on the media, the fact that the biggest American military bases and its intelligence service are stationed in Muslim countries, the fact that there is multi-billion dollar propaganda industry dedicated against Muslims, all of these indicate a clear project of the British Empire to wipe Islam out.

Speaking of the agenda of the British Secularism to destroy Islam, one of the most important strategies that our enemies are using is by focusing the war against Islam on Muslim scholars, the independent knowledge centers, and everyone who want to pursue the path of the Islamic knowledge.

For this reason, our enemies today will not allow anyone be admitted to any Islamic university without their approval. While the current scholars are facing persecution and imprisonment, the US Government and the British Empire are making sure that no new scholars will emerge. It is a very sad reality how far their barbaric control has gone and how vicious they are. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has actually prophetized the time when Muslim scholars disappear, as a sign of the approach of the Hour.

In the end, this shows the value of Islamic knowledge, indeed. Otherwise, our enemies would not spend billions of dollars to wipe Islam out, but they will not manage to do so despite their evil plans.

A Muslim scholar might consider politics the public complaints of people against a Muslim leader, typically in Saudi Arabia, and they will use obvious religious texts to justify their stand. However, the majority of Muslims live under direct pagan governments and their oppression.

When a political commentator in the West speaks of politics, he or she means typically the participation in the political rallies, elections, political parties etc. Running for office is the best example of political activism, something which in Saudi Arabia would be considered an example par excellence of frowned upon political involvement.

When such Secularist commentators refer to Muslims themselves being involved into a political activity, such as running for office, they could refer to this as ‘political Islam.’ Even though from a legal perspective it is OK, they use the phrase ‘political Islam’ just to make it seem scary and different, as if to remind Muslims that in this domain follow the religious texts which speak about the obedience to the leader.

Personally, I’ve noticed that when the Secularists speak of political Islam they mean Islam itself, especially the most important practical aspects of it, such five daily prayers, hijab, organizing family according to the Islamic values, avoiding bank loans and any transaction which involves interest, fasting, giving donations, building mosques etc. They cannot attack openly Muslims on such issues because that would raise enormous political alarm and awareness in the community; instead, they appear as if they are concerned about the political Islam.

Therefore, the western Secularists do a good job by associating the word politics with Islam. In reality, they have no problem with the participation in their Secular politics because that’s a waste of time and harmless for their political power. The true problem arises when Muslims defend themselves, fight for their rights, their families, properties and want to practice their religion as much as possible. This is what the US Government and the British Empire don’t want.

On the other hand, if they participate in elections, scholars from Saudi Arabia will not support such an activity, which might be called as ‘political Islam.’ So, the vicious western politicians try to use a religious stand of the scholars of Saudi Arabia, and extrapolate that to mean the practice of religion itself by appearing that they are concerned about something that they are not, and meaning in reality what Muslims have a legal right to do: the practice of religion.

Under the British Empire, politics refers mostly to the process of electing a ruler, which, from an Islam’s perspective, is not something that masses should be indulged in. For this reason, Muslim scholars are going to frown upon whoever embarks on this activity while in the West apparently the process of elections, no matter how theatrical and fake might seem, is encouraged.

On the other hand, when masses speak of politics and power, they actually refer to the domain of personal rights, economic power and more freedom on decision making. In order to achieve these, the British Empire gives as an option the participation in the theatrical process of elections while this is exactly what Islam frowns upon because it is a waste-of-time process; it is not for the masses.

I think there is much confusion and lots of word-play here. There is a difference between what the British Empire calls politics and what people in reality need, and between what Islam frowns upon and what the British Empire deceives people about. In this regard, the Qur’an is the most clarifying book on the topics of politics, the necessary power and what people need.

Certainly, the ultimate purpose of Islam is the achievement of monotheism – to believe that Allah, the Creator, is the only god to be worshipped, and the mission of all prophets has been to call people to this truth. Therefore, it is very common to hear from Muslim intellectuals and scholars, especially under the British occupation, that political power in not necessary to achieve this truth.

Nevertheless, this life is subject to unchangeable laws or the sunnah of Allah. Monotheism does not necessarily or immediately require political power, but without legal freedom, economic power, and family independence, no idea will survive for a long time. For this reason, many prophets, such as Moses, Lot, Shuaib, and Salih, and above all Muhammad (peace be upon him), their mission involved a clear aspect related to power – political and economic, because monotheism cannot survive if Muslims have no political freedom, no money, no legal freedom, no land, no businesses, and no family independence. While these are means, they are often necessary for the long term survival of the Muslim community and monotheism itself.

Under the British Empire, striving for such rights is not allowed while in Islam it is necessary and common sense; the former encourages elections to distract people whereas Islam warns against that waste-of-time process.

In order to think clearly, make decisions, function effectively, grow healthy, educate children property, all of these need peace, quietness, tranquility, serenity, and order. In Arabic, the word for the place where one lives is called ‘sakan;’ it is of the same root as ‘sakeenah’, which means serenity; the latter means also ‘tumaaneenah’ – comfort and quiet. The English expression “home sweet home!’ is powerful, too.

Islam has placed much importance not simply on the preservation of family and home, but it has elevated them to a very high status given their essential role in society and in the lives of people.

Home is that private place which should be different from the world outside, and not necessarily related to the physical space. A home could be a family living in a tent, or living in a castle. It is not the walls what make a place home, but what it gives and fulfills.

In order to achieve the true role of homes, Islam has order women to stay home, which is a general recommendation rather than a jurisdictional obligation.

Interestingly and powerfully, Allah has ordered the wives of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to stay home, “Settle in your homes, and do not display yourselves as women did in the days of pre-Islamic ignorance. Establish prayer, pay zakaah, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah only intends to keep the causes of evil away from you and purify you completely, O members of the Prophet’s family!” [33:33]

If the most purified and dignified women need that peace of homes, what about other women?

However, the question that begs itself is none other than: is it possible nowadays for Muslim women to stay at home?

Politically speaking, I’d say that it is almost impossible. Not only has the economy been designed by the British Secularism in a way that requires women to work – cheap labor and more human resources, but there is an important political problem that arises from the idea of staying at home.

The British political system, which controls Muslims, is designed to have access to every individual and control them politically and ideologically at an individual level; therefore, women cannot stay at home because the government would have no access to them.

If women stay at home, and our homes become places of peace and serenity, which means the access of the outside world to our families becomes limited and restricted, the modern political system would collapse in a matter of days. Modern governments need access and only access.

If we start to establish our homes the way Islam recommends, the modern British Secularist governments around the world would go to war against us because they need free access, and access means control.

Muslims have the right to be angry and furious about what has taken place in Syria. Indeed, innocent people have been killed, not even according to some basic war principles. The Syrian war was probably one of the most confusing one over the last century. Even today, we don’t know exactly what the real objective was; all we know is that it was a war full of deception, confusion, and a big fitnah – tribulation – for Muslims.

I remember very well when the first bloody protest took place in Syria. Then the reaction of Muslims – at least of those who I met and interacted with, who were many, was unwise, reactionary and predominantly superficial.

Based on their naïve perception about the Syrian war and on a superficial judgement, hundreds of thousands, or perhaps millions of Muslims ended up as victims. This war was different. Muslims around the world were pushed, signaled, and encouraged to participate in it, either physically or financially. The official position of governments was always ambiguous, between the lines, “we support the opposition, but….” “Assad must go, but….” “we need people, but….” “we need money, but…..” “the Ummah has agreed upon that there is jihad in Syria, but…” There was lots of confusion.

The US President Barack Obama would appear each and every day on TV talking about the Syrian war and expressing his support militarily for the opposition. Muslim men started to travel from North America and Europe to support the Syrian opposition, as Obama would request. Even the Prime Minister of Albania in his first speech in the Parliament in 2013 emphasized particularly the fact that “the Butcher of the Middle East must go” – a clear message to the Albanian Muslims that they have the support of the Albanian Government should they decide to participate in that war. Therefore, governments around the world made everything possible – financially and through propaganda, for Muslims to travel to Syria to support the opposition, except that soon it turned out to be a deception.

Participating in the Syrian conflict was made illegal in the middle of the process by those who first encouraged Muslims to participate, by almost all governments.

In truth, Bashar Al Assad was one player, but not the main deceiver. Certainly, others were much worse than him. In fact, he hardly deceived anyone to participate in that war. It was our governments – criminals who work as presidents and prime ministers, which deceived Muslims and who are responsible for the war crimes.

Muslims: stop being superficial!

There is no doubt that Muslims are doing something blatantly wrong. The political power of the British Empire – a bunch of uncivilized people of Europe – does not fully account for the occupation and the subjugation of Muslims. From the divine perspective, they could be considered the superficial factor, but the real problem lies within us.

For this reason, I objectively think that there is no other ideology that could save Muslims today from the western oppression and subjugation than Islam itself. It provides the best political manual and the best response to political corruption. Islam does not propose a political system that has been simply brought together by some thinkers. It is a divine religion, so it provides the real antidote to the western despotism, as well as it gives the best prescription for political freedom and human liberation if only people take it seriously and in its entirety.

I will just mention one political element that Islam has tackled rigorously in order to illustrate how much it cares about the freedom of people, their dignity, their future and the future of their families.

Bribery!

Bribery is a disease as old as humanity. Islam has addressed it carefully and sufficiently. Bribery in essence is to offer something to someone in position in order to receive something in return which otherwise it is not possible and which one does not deserve.

It is reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has said, “May the curse of Allaah be upon the one who pays a bribe and the one who takes it.” (ِAbu Dawood, at-Tirmidhi).

Bribery is similar to usury or bank interest. Recklessly, people are tempted to look for short cuts and momentary benefits without realizing that they are giving up their human freedom – much needed to guarantee a functional and just political system.

Giving bribery in order to get a job or whatever, it is guaranteed that the people in power are going to request from you more things apart from what you’re giving them now. They are going to ask you to be silent on political corruption, betray others if needs be, to be a spy, to give up your rights, to sell your soul off, and to humiliate yourself and your family. Bribery is a hindrance to political justice.

For clarification: bribery could be money, gifts, sex, and other favors. In essence, the western democracy runs heavily on two things: interest and bribery – both are enslaving mechanisms, which Islam prohibits.

Bribery is one example, but Islam offers the full package for freedom and political justice and human dignity. Islam is the antidote.
