Albanians were leaders and generals of the Ottoman Empire

by Sabri Lushi

Surprisingly and absurdly, Albanian historians tell our little children that in 1912 our people were brave enough to rebel against their own government and their own empire – narratives of fairytales, but, unfortunately, they were not brave enough to confront the small principalities of Greece and Serbia; therefore, they continue with their stupidity, Ismail Qemali with his few followers withdrew to the town of Vlora to proclaim a symbolic independence so our European friends could have mercy on us and recognize Albania (Vlora and some villages around) as a separate country, while Albanians were leaders and generals of the Ottoman Empire.

They don’t tell our children that Albanians were a majority in the Balkans. They don’t tell our children that the Ottoman Empire was our empire. They don’t tell our children that in 1912 there was a war between the British Empire and the whole Europe against the Ottoman Empire and Albanians. They don’t tell our children that Serbia and Greece and Montenegro, with all due respect to our neighbors, were merely military bases of the British Empire, as well as they were puppet European principalities whose territories expanded in 1913 with the agreement of the British Empire.

They don’t tell our children that in 1912 sadly we lost. The whole Europe gathered together and defeated us in the Balkans while the great majority of Albanians were living in Istanbul, Cairo, Beirut, Damascus and other big cities of the Ottoman Empire.

Our children should know that in 1912 there was no war between Serbia and Albania, nor between Greece and Albania because Serbia and Greece were not capable of doing that. The war was between the British Empire and the Ottoman Empire – our empire.

Definitely, it’s strategically convenient for the British to not articulate this fact because it means a recognition of the importance of Albanians. They try to humiliate us as much as possible. This is a very well known strategy of war. They want to say that we were so insignificant that even the small principalities of Greece and Serbia were sufficient to defeat us.

I honestly believe that our children soon will realize that everything they are taught in school is a big lie, and this might lead to a great awareness of our true history.

The lies of the British Empire and its agents in Albania will not last forever. It’s a matter of time when they will be exposed.
